The West Coast boys have taken nice break from recording music and touring but are expected to return this year with two EPs. The details are minimal as far as title, release dates and what we can expect them to sound like.

Frontman Marcus Mumford teamed up with Elvis Costello and some other musicians for a side project last year called The New Basement Tapes. The line up also included Jim James of My Morning Jacket, Dawes' Taylor Goldsmith and Rhiannon Giddens of Carolina Chocolate Drop. Johnny Depp even played on a few songs. The band is expected to return this year with new music. They're currently in the studio working on album number three with Arctic Monkeys producer, James Ford.

Back in October the band posted an Instagram photo of them back in the studio working on new music. They're being joined by long-time collaborator, Irish music producer and mixer Jacknife Lee, who’s also known for his work with Weezer, REM, AFI, U2, Neil Diamond and others.

Ok this is the only one on the list that's not 100% confirmed. From what we've been hearing, a new album is likely this year so we'll leave it at that for now. It will be the first since the bands "Death Magnetic" album in 2008.

The flashy, flamboyant Killers frontman is set to release his second solo album this year. I think I speak for the majority of fans when I say that I wish it was a Killers album. To put fans minds at ease, Flowers told NME last August "I wanna keep being in this band. I don't think we'll get too morbid about it, I think we wanna keep going." No release date has been announced.

The Chicago band had a hit toward the end of 2014 called "Centuries" that included a sample of Suzanne Vega's song Tom's Diner. The song will be featured on their new album "American Beauty/American Psycho". It's one of the years first new releases to drop. Look for it on January 20th.
Our good friends Guster have been working on their new album for awhile. I (Rob) got to catch up with Adam from the band, who lives in Portland, a few month back. He said he was very excited about getting new music out there and really happy with how things were going in the band. "Evermotion" will be released on January 13th and the band will play at The State Theatre on May 2nd!

Chris Martin came out of nowhere late last year with the news that the band will release what might be their 7th and final album this year. Although he left the door open for future releases, he said he feels that it's the completion of something. The album tentatively titled "A Head Full of Dreams" is expected this year at some point.

Gwen seems undecided as to what her next project is going to be. When asked recently if it will be a No Doubt album or a solo project, she told MTV, "I'm thinking about both, I can do both".

There seems to be a solid amount of buzz surrounding this early 2015 release. After hearing two songs from "The Pale Emporer", we're excited to hear more. It's definitely a different sound for him. Look for the album on 1/20 and Manson performing at The House of Blues on 1/28.

Billy Corgan has been hinting around for sometime that he may be disbanding the Smashing Pumpkins. He confirmed it last month by telling the Wall Street Journal "The next album is like the end, end, end,” Corgan goes on to say he's not feeling the business anymore and he feels the fanbase is gone. It's not confirmed whether or not he's quitting the business altogether.

Things are tight-lipped in the Radiohead camp right now but what is confirmed is the band is working on new material. It's even rumored that it might be a "back to the roots" album, which would give us more of what we got from the bands first three albums.
