Ok, so our tradition that started back in 2002 is a bit different from the summer camp featured above. It all started with a couple memorable summer rock shows at the Civic Center. People still talk about the Locabazooka show with Filter, Sevendust and a bunch of others you may recall who are no longer with us. RIP Audiovent, Reveille, Earshot and Dry Cell.

A few days later, things got crazy at the Civic Center again for a historic System Of A Down and P.O.D. show. I think Meshugga was on that show too.

Other bands to take part in the tradition over the years included Marilyn Manson, White Stripes, Tool, Incubus, Sick Puppies and more.

Here's what we got lined up so far!

6/28 Trapt -- Asylum, Portland

Most known for the 2003 hit "Headstrong", Trapt has made there way on to CYY with several tunes over the past decade. They've been to town a few times, including a killer show at The State back in 2004. Click here for tickets.

7/12 Queens of the Stone Age -- Cross Insurance Center, Bangor.

Josh Homme and the posse are coming to Maine for the first time since......since......um, you tell us? This is gonna be a good one! If you drop a few more bucks down, you can hop aboard the CYY Queens Party Bus to Bangor. Click here for a ticket, round trip transportation from Portland and a pre-show buffet at Seadog Brewing Company. Click here for more info.

7/21 Dirtyheads / Pepper -- State Theatre, Portland

What's better than a Dirty Heads/Pepper show? A Dirty Heads/Pepper CYY Summercamp show right in the middle of summer! If you were at the show a couple of years back, I'm sure we'll see you on the 21st! Details coming soon an exclusive money can't buy experience with them dirty boys. Click here to snag tickets.

7/22 Bear Hands -- Port City Music Hall, Portland

This is a band we've been excited about for the past few months. We're pretty sure you've heard the song "Giants" which features the ridiculously catchy hook, I am loving you more. The boys that went to college in NYC with MGMT have a big hit on their bear hands. Click here to get your tickets.

Annnnnnd that's it...for now. Make sure to check back and listen to CYY for more Summercamp announcements. Can it be sunny and warm now, please?
