The Old Port Fest is upon us! Well, almost. The festival has become synonymous with the summertime in Maine, just as "I thought it was next weekend!" is synonymous with your lame friends that wanted to stay home in their sweatpants all day.

Team WCYY will be teaming up with the Maine Academy of Modern Music (or MAMM, for short) to bring some rock and roll to the lawless streets of the Old Port. We'll be right by the water on the corner of Dana St and Commercial St (click the hyperlink or see the map below). As if you needed them, here are three darn good reasons why you should stop by between soft-pretzel and ice cream runs on Sunday:

1) MAMM Students Will Be Rocking the Stage All Day!
Students of Maine Academy of Modern Music's ensemble program will be providing us with both original music and covers from noontime until we get the plug pulled on us (or 5, for the loquacious). These kids are seriously talented - we dare say that they're the next generation of Maine rock stars, so don't miss your opportunity to brag to your hipster friends that you saw them before they were big.

2) Team CYY Will Be There
Come say hi to your favorite CYY DJs in the flesh! No guarantees that we'll have washed our hands after eating some street BBQ, so shake 'em at your own risk.

3) We're Right Next to Tons of Good Bars
We're just a stone's throw from Wharf St, so places like Gritty's Amigo's, Oasis, The Pearl, Mark's Sportsbar, and more will be readily accessible to you after soaking up the day's rays. Beat the crowds down there, too - it'll be a madhouse by the end of he day.

Well, if you didn't have reason enough to swing by, that should be all you need! We'll see you Sunday!
