Radiohead Polish Up New Album in L.A.?
Radiohead was reportedly in Los Angeles to work on new music with producer Nigel Godrich recently.
L.A. Times contributor Jia-Rui Cook wrote that the UK rockers were holed up in the Hollywood Hills for three weeks while working on new material, though no confirmation has been made by the band.
Cook stated that Thom Yorke, Nigel Godrich and the rest of the band threw a wrap party on January 30th in the house, which had been converted into a studio for the sessions.
"Bryan [Cook, engineer] helped transform a house in the Hollywood Hills into a recording studio and spent the last three weeks there recording Radiohead with Nigel Godrich.
"I was giddy seeing Beck, Selma [sic] Hayek and Danger Mouse chatting around the same pool where Dean Martin and the Rat Pack used to hang out.
The report makes sense chronologically, given that Radiohead was in Los Angeles to play an Oxfam charity gig to benefit those affected by the Haiti earthquakes last month.
Additionally, in announcing the charity show, the band wrote on their website, "We're in the middle of recording at the moment, so you'll be catching us on the fly.... but if you're up for it, then we are too."
