Ever since 3D printing technology was invented, more and more things are being made with it, including shoes from a Maine company.

Soak is a company founded by Michelle Vale and Elena Corsano through a Kickstarter campaign in 2015. According to the Portland Press Herald, Soak is using a 3D printer with the help of Cobbler Technologies in Bangor to aide in the process of making their slide sandals.

All their shoes won't be 3D printed, but modifications can be made with the printer and several pairs printed. The process just isn't fast enough to print in the quantities they need, but it's a great tool to help the traditional manufacturing process.
