Richard and Tim Butler came to Portland for the second time in a year to play classic Psychedelic Furs songs for a packed crowd at Port City Music Hall last night. Richard, with his David Bowie-esque vocals, powered through song after song with no on stage banter whatsoever. Not even a hello at the beginning of the set or a thank you at the conclusion. I was ok with it. The band was energetic and Richard sounded great. It was very nostalgic for me to see classic Psychedelic Furs songs that I’ve been listening to since I was nine performed live.
