Rolling Stone recently asked readers to chime in with their favorite TV shows of the 80's. After spending some time checking out the top 10, I was surprised with a couple that made the list but not necessarily upset with said shows.

Was Hill Street Blues that big of a deal? Apparently. Maybe it was just before my time. I do vaguely remember it being on and the theme song (which believe it or not, was a hit on the radio shot me right back to kindergarten days.

Seeing Cheers at the top of the list was cool. What a phenomenal show that pretty much anyone could get into and enjoy. I mean, who didn't/doesn't like Cheers? The characters were all their own people.

#4 however, probably my favorite show of all time. Married With Children made me laugh hysterically every Sunday night. The Bundy's and their dysfunctional family escapades were priceless. A moody shoe-salesman with a lazy wife and kids is a synopsis of this show that was once the longest running TV sitcom in history, running from '87-'97, until another dysfunctional family took over the title. They're called The Simpsons, and they're still going after 26 years.

Here's the full list.

1.  "Cheers", 1982-1993

2.  "Miami Vice", 1984-1990

3.  "Hill Street Blues", 1981-1987

4.  "Married with Children", 1987-1997

5.  "The Wonder Years", 1988-1993

6.  "Alf", 1986-1990

7.  "The A-Team", 1983-1987

8.  "Family Ties", 1982-1989
