Coldplay Will Be The Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show
Nothing makes grown American men want to hit each other more than a Coldplay song. That'll be put to the ultimate test in February when the British outfit take the stage during the halftime show of Super Bowl 50 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Chris Martin and co. will headline what's normally the biggest televised concert of the year. They'll be in support of their new album A Head Full of Dreams, due out tomorrow (Dec. 4).
While the typically mellow rockers might make for an odd choice to perform during an American football game, it should be noted that the new album does include a ton of notable guest stars like Beyonce, Noel Gallagher and even President Barack Obama. While it's unlikely the crooner in chief will join the band onstage, it seems highly possible (or probable) that the others could. Although they would likely need to trick Gallagher into thinking it's actually a soccer game.
