It's turning out to be a pretty bad week for EDM fans. Just a few days after two people died at the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, 36 people at an Avicii show in Boston were hospitalized last night.

According to the Boston Globe, three dozen young fans, many of them between 16 and 25 years old, were rushed to the local hospitals for drug and alcohol problems. Additionally, 50 fans were treated onsite.

There's also an Instagram that supposedly shows police trying to stir an either drunk or drugged-out fan.

EMS officials claim drugs, alcohol, heat and exhaustion were responsible for the hospitalizations. Nobody's condition was life threatening. Which is a good thing, since EDM probably couldn't take another hit this week.

Last weekend, two fans died in separate incidents at the Electric Daisy Carnival, a three-day DJ and electronic-music fest featuring dozens of performers. Seven people have died at the annual fest since 2011, bringing attention to the scene's rampant drug use.
