Boston’s Thomas Gets All-Star Spot [VIDEO]

For the last two weeks many wondered if the Celtics Isaiah Thomas would be selected to next months NBA All-Star game. The wait is over and Thomas will be a member of the East squad.

When the names of the reserves were announced Thursday night Thomas found out that he would be making his first appearance in the annual game that highlights the top players in the league.

His selection means the Celtics will have a player in the all-star game for the first time since 2013 when Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett were selected.

Thomas is the teams top producer on offense scoring an average of 22 points per game. Joining Isaiah as reserves will be Andre Drummond (Pistons), Jimmy Butler (Bulls), Chris Bosh (Heat), Paul Millsap (Hawks), DeMar DeRozen (Raptors) and John Wall (Wizards).

Reserves for the West Squad include Draymond Green (Warriors), LaMarcus Aldridge (Spurs), Anthony Davis (Pelicans), James Harden (ROckets), Chris Paul (Clippers) and Klay Thompson (Warriors).
