The Boston Bruins were cruising along with a 1-0 lead over St. Louis when captain Zdeno Chara left the game with an apparent injury and did not return.

That was early in the second period. By the end of the period, the B's were trailing 2-1. Chara's defense partner, rookie Brendan Carlo struggled and was on the ice for both goals.

Meanwhile, the Bruins peppered Blues goalie Jake Allen with 41 shots. He saved all but two.

The Bruins fall to 11-8 and next play in Ottawa on Thanksgiving night.
