Two New England Patriots may soon be heading to the silver screen, as movies are reportedly to be in production about the lives of Tom Brady and Malcolm Butler.

The defensive back Butler went from working at a Popeye's fried chicken restaurant to becoming a two-time Super Bowl champion, and having one of the most memorable interceptions in NFL history.  Via the Hollywood Reporter, the Narrative Capital group acquired the rights to a film focusing on Butler's life.  The Narrative Capital group is owned by Daniel Levin, who produced the film "Lion" that has been nominated for six Academy Awards in 2017.  The working title for the film right now is called "The Secondary".

Deadline is reporting that Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson are working on a movie focused on the season and Super Bowl 51, centering around former sixth round draft pick Tom Brady.  The film will involve the 'deflategate' suspension and the largest comeback in Super Bowl history if it eventually reaches the next phase of shooting.

No timetable for either movie has been set at this time.
