The NHL takes center stage tonight with its amateur draft. Teams will select first round picks tonight and then rounds 2 through 7 tomorrow.

The Boston Bruins will pick #14 and expect to get a very good player at that spot.

The B's started to re-tool the team with a trade with the Colorado Avalanche. The B's get a future 6th round pick in exchange for the negotiating rights for Carl Soderberg who was a restricted free agent. The Avalanche have now signed Soderberg to a 5-year, nearly $25-million-dollar deal.
