Got an iPhone 5 that always seems like the battery is running out way before it's time? Well Apple says that it may be doing just that and is willing to replace the battery for free.

Turns out that a batch of iPhone 5's sold between September 2012 and January 2013 have a shorter battery life than they should and It's not just because you can't stop playing Candy Crush.

Since you can't simply have a new battery shipped to you that you can pop into the iPhone like you can with every other phone not made by Apple, you're going to have to go to an Apple store, find an authorized Apple dealer, or ship it off to Apple to have the battery replaced.

Before you do that though, make sure your phone is one of those that has the short battery life issue by entering your serial number on Apple's website. They'll tell you if you qualify and then follow the instructions. Hit the button below to start the process and good luck!
