For Aaron from Awolnation 3rd Times a Charm [VIDEO]

Awolnation's new record is out and doing well. You gotta be psyched for Aaron Bruno. Awolnation is his 3rd shot at music success. Do you know the other shots?

HOME TOWN HERO - Aaron's first "big" band back in the early 2000's fused punk and grunge influences together. They were signed to Madonna's label, Maverick Records. They broke up and moved on shortly before the release of their second record though.

UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF GIANTS - A unique name, a unique sound. As Aaron's music ideas changed he realized he needed to part ways with his record label and start a new thing, fresh and clean. Aaron left Home Town Hero and brought guitarist Drew Stewart along to start the 70's disco/dance/pop rock outfit, Under the Influence of Giants. (also on drums was Jamin Wilcox, formerly with Audiovent - a CYY throwback favorite). They signed to Island records in 2006.

I remember playing this tune a ton on Spinout years ago. The response for this song was big. This tune is not rocking one bit, but it's so damn good and became their biggest single. Aaron was dressing the part of the music too as you'll see.

AWOLNATION - One again Drew joined Aaron in his new venture. In 2009, Red Bull Records Aaron the keys to their recording studio to record whatever he wanted. What came from that was the early recordings for Awolnation. It's gotta be easy these days to lose your patience and interest in making it in the music game. It's tougher and tougher every day to make something happen sizable for your career advancement. Aaron's persistence paid off no doubt and he deserves everything that comes from it. Us? We get hooked up too. These guys have become one of the biggest CYY bands in the past 10 years and they're just getting started. But should it all end tomorrow, we should be keeping an eye open for Aaron's 4th project cause you know that ones just waiting!
