Game of Thrones will peel back at least a few layers of Season 6 mystery by Sunday’s premiere, but fans may have to wait even longer to answer questions dogging the franchise for years. That said, a new promo may confirm the flashback many have been hoping for, along with a few new sneak peeks to tide us over.

You’re warned of some potential Game of Thrones spoilers from here on out, but yet another new Season 6 promo brings with its some key new footage, including a likely first look at the “Tower of Joy” implied by Targaryen soldiers in previous trailers. Said locale is likely to provide a key Ned Stark flashback, potentially cluing us in to the true origin of Jon Snow.

So reads the Season 6 premiere synopsis for “The Red Woman”:

Jon Snow is dead. Daenerys meets a strong man. Cersei sees her daughter again.

And the overall Season 6 logline:

Following the shocking developments at the conclusion of season five, including Jon Snow’s bloody fate at the hands of Castle Black mutineers, Daenerys’ near-demise at the fighting pits of Meereen, and Cersei’s public humiliation in the streets of King’s Landing, survivors from all parts of Westeros and Essos regroup to press forward, inexorably, towards their uncertain individual fates. Familiar faces will forge new alliances to bolster their strategic chances at survival, while new characters will emerge to challenge the balance of power in the east, west, north and south.

In the meantime, check out the latest on the Game of Thrones Season 6 with trailers below, and stay tuned for the April 24 premiere!
