Planning on spending a hot, summer sunny afternoon in Old Orchard Beach anytime soon? Perhaps you'd like to try a bar thats off the beaten path and just a little different from the other offerings in OOB? Enter in the Pirates Patio.

After you've finished your afternoon of mini-golfing, arcade-ing and crushing a box of pier fries, maybe a walk on the beach is in store. Old Orchard Beach has long has one "side" of the beach that's been hopping. Palace Playland, The Brunswick and so many other hotels and hotspots litter that side of the beach. But if you walk the other side, it won't take long before you stumble across a large pirate ship and the Pirates Patio pub.

Don't expect to be floored by the decor, blown away by their culinary options or taken aback by their signature cocktail menu. This place isn't like that and its not meant to be. What it is, is just a fantastic place to go and hang. Pirates Patio has live music throughout the day on the weekends,  a nice pub menu to fill your belly and enough selection of spirits and beers that your afternoon will transition into evening before you even realize it.

The best part of Pirates Patio though is that you always seemingly can find a spot to relax and enjoy yourself. So often, especially in tourism season in Old Orchard, every place feels like its at capacity and that you're fighting to hold your table or spot. Pirates Patio allows you to enjoy the best part of Old Orchard Beach, that amazing beach view. If you've never visited this gem off the beach, do so this summer. It'll be worth the trip.
