Peel to the core of the Seattle/Pacific Northwest music explosion 25+ years ago and you'll find Mark Arm & Steve Turner and Mudhoney. As the big 4 went on to big success (nirvana, pearl jam, soundgarden and alice in chains) Mudhoney became legendary on their own terms. Their sound, ideas and punk spirit was crafted and making noise before the big 4 and most others you know. They helped to build Sub Pop Records with their earl releases.

Mudhoney built the house in Seattle that most still pay rent to be in to this day.

Now, they're playing Maine for the first time ever on Friday 7/10. With Covered in Bees and Murcielago on the bill, this will be one of the best if not coolest rock shows all year in Maine. You really should come out. This is one of those special shows we're lucky to see in Portland.
