The one and only The Holy Donut, famous for its donuts made with Maine potatoes, is getting ready to open a third location in Scarborough, and this one will have a drive-thru.

The Holy Donut has two locations in Portland, one on Park Avenue which opened in 2012 and a second on Exchanged Street that opened in 2013. They have now become so famous that they make over a million donuts a year, and now that number is likely to get even bigger.

According to the Sun Journal, owner Leigh Kellis is getting ready to open a new location in the former Tim Hortons on Route 1, which just so happens to come with a drive-thru. She's still working out everything, but the building has been gutted on the inside and a soft open is planned soon.

The breakfast sandwich menu will be expanded, and there will be no closing when the last donut made is sold like the Portland locations.

No word on hours or opening date. The soft opening isn't being announced to prevent the place from being overrun by Holy Donut fans, but a sign on the building says they are now hiring. That hopefully means it won't be long now before we can get delicious Holy Donuts without even getting out of our cars.
