Jack White is apparently the best thing to happen to vinyl since flooring.

Billboard reports that White's 'Lazaretto' is the biggest-selling vinyl LP of the year with more than 60,000 copies sold -- the most since Pearl Jam's 1994 vinyl release of 'Vitalogy.' In fact, White's sales of 'Lazaretto' alone account for 25 percent of all 238,000 new vinyl sales this year.

Still not impressed? The second best-selling vinyl LP of 2014 so far is Arctic Monkeys' 'AM' with 29,000 sold and, in 2013, Daft Punk's 'Random Access Memories' was the top seller with 49,000 sold. White sold nearly that many copies of just the special Ultra LP version of 'Lazaretto' in its first week.

It's all just more fodder for White's ever-expanding vinyl-related resume. Not only did he break the record for first-week vinyl sales along with the record for the fastest-pressed and released vinyl album ever, but he also has nebulous plans to play the first record in space.
