Some are calling it the best World Series game one ever! a 14-inning, 5-hours and 9-minute marathon 5-4 win for the Kansas City Royals over the New York Mets.

The game had a little bit of everything. A leadoff inside-the-park home run by Alcides Escobar.

An error by KC's Eric Hosmer in the 8th inning to allow the Mets to grab a lead.

An Alex Gordon homerun in the 9th to tie the game.

And finally, in the 14th inning, Hosmer's redemption. A game winning sacrifice fly to drive in the winning run.
