The University of Maine hockey team is still in search of its first win after getting shutout on the road 4-0 to Quinnipiac in a non-conference game Tuesday night.Offense continues to be a problem for the Bears who have scored just 5 goals in 5 games and have been shutout in each of their last two games.

The Bobcats jumped out to a 1-0 lead after the first period thanks to a power play goal that beat UMaine goalie Matt Morris. Three more goals would follow in the second period including another power play goal.

Quinnipiac goalie Michael Garteig took over form that point stopping all 20 shots he faced. The Bobcats doubled the Black Bears chances by firing 40 shots on Morris.

The 0-2-3 Bears will try to find an answer to their offensive problems as they host the University of New Brunswick in an exhibition game at the Alfond Arena Friday night.
