Let the Battle Begin! See the Finalists and When They Will Be Battling for a Spot On-Stage This Summer at the Rise Above Fest!

The top 16 bands have been voted on and now it’s time to throw down! The four round semi finals will kick off at Asylum on Center Street in Portland this Friday, May 27th. It will be followed by a championship round comprised of the four semifinal winners. The panel of judges will be made up of industry professionals and the event producers and partners. Our own Heather from the CYY mid-day show will be on the panel!

This and all following battles are free, open to the public and all ages. Doors at 7pm, show at 8pm!

Shaun Morgan of Seether has chosen Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor over the past few years as the spot for his annual Rise Above Fest. A day and night of live music for hardcore rock and metal fans is subsequently and amazing fundraiser for suicide awareness. It raises money for SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education), one of the leading national not-for profit organizations dedicated to raising awareness and educating the public about mental health and suicide prevention in order to SAVE lives.

This year’s lineup is once again a solid one. Disturbed, Volbeat, Alter Bridge, Killswitch Engage, Hatebreed and of course Seether.

First Place Band:

OPENING SLOT on the MAIN STAGE, $700 in cash and 20 tickets to the Rise Above Festival. They will also receive access to catering & hospitality throughout the day (band members only – no crew)

Second Place Band:

OPENING SLOT on the B-STAGE, $300 in cash and 10 tickets to the Rise Above Festival. Also catering and hospitality throughout the day (band members only – no only)
