As if the roads weren't already dangerous enough with the increased summertime/holiday traffic, a Lewiston man who was high on drugs made a small portion of the Maine Turnpike even more treacherous on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Bangor Daily News, a 42-year-old Lewiston man named David Mullen pulled his car into the media on Sunday afternoon near the Scarborough exit and then began throwing rocks at cars that were traveling down the interstate. Mullen damaged three vehicles in the process and scared other motorists as well.

A group of motorists took it upon themselves to pull over as well and subdue Mullen before he caused a major damage or injury. Police arrived on the scene shortly thereafter to arrest him. Mullen admitted to police that he had used ecstasy earlier in the day.
