Lewiston Woman Pleads Guilty to Animal Cruelty in Abandoned Dog Case

Do you remember the woman who abandoned her dog outside the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society in Lewiston, earlier this year? Well, today (Aug. 15) Sarah Vye pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges.

Vye will not have to serve jail time. A judge however, ordered her to pay $600 in fines. She will also serve 1-year probation and is prohibited from owning a pet.

She told WMTW that she wishes people would "...let it be, because I'm accepting responsibility, and accepting the punishment."
