Madison Bumgarner was staked to a 3-0 lead before he had to throw a pitch and that turned out to be all he needed. The San Francisco Giants beat the Kansas City Royals 7-1 in game one of the World Series.

Hunter Pence ripped a two run homer in the top of the first inning off a shaky James Shields.

In total, the Giants collected 10 hits.

More than enough with Bumgarner on the hill. He went seven innings, giving up just one run on three hits.

NOTE: Game two of the World Series is tonight. Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket live coverage starts at 7pm.
