According to a new ranking index, Vacationland has been rated the "most peaceful" state in America.

24/7 Wall St. and USA Today generated a list of the most and least peaceful states in the U.S., and the results were pretty interesting. States with high violent crime and murder rates were considered to be less peaceful, while states with low incarceration rates, low small arms ownership rates, and low violent crime rates were counted to be more peaceful. According to the final results of that published index, Maine is the most peaceful state, and Louisiana is the least peaceful.
