According to the Bangor Daily News, the Maine Red Claws will remain the Boston Celtics only minor league affiliate for at least the next 3 seasons. In a press release, Celtics President of Basketball Operations noted, "we couldn't be more excited to continue our relationship with Bill Ryan and Red Claws".

The Red Claws have been a developing ground for several players in their short existence already. Marcus Smart, James Young, Tim Frazier and Chris Babb are just some of the most notable stars to have worn a Red Claws jersey. It's not just players either, Scott Morrison, hired to coach the team last season, won the D-League Coach of the Year award.

This coming season will be the Maine Red Claws 7th season in Portland. Their 2015-2016 schedule is expected to be announced in the coming weeks with the first game tipping off at the Portland Expo in November.
