Don't be too surprised when a text from President Trump shows up on your phone today with an emergency alert.

According to CNN, The Federal Emergency Management Agency is conducting their first Wireless Emergency Test today. At 2:18 p.m., you'll be getting a test text on your cell phone if it is turned on and you are within cell tower range.

The system will be used to warn of public danger, missing children and weather events. It will sound like an amber alert, there is no way to opt out of the test. Two minutes after the WEA test goes out the Emergency Alert System for radio and television will run.

FEMA is responsible for making it possible for the president to inform Americans in the case of a national emergency, and under all conditions.

The header will say, "Presidential Alert" and the message will be, "THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed."
