The Boston Bruins extended their winning streak to four games by ending their shootout losing streak in a 3-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.Boston had lost five straight shootouts and needed to reverse their fortune after the Lightning forced overtime. Head Coach Claude Julien told the team to just have fun in the shootout, and that they did getting goals from Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand to get the win and the extra point.

For Bergeron, it was his second goal of the game after giving the Bruins a lead in the third period.

Tuukka Rask made sone big saves in the game including the second period when Tampa outshot Boston 16-4. Rask finished with 35 saves while former Maine Black Bear Ben Bishop had 28 in the loss for the Lightning.

Next up for the Bruins are road games against Pittsburgh on Saturday and Washington on Sunday. Boston trails the Capitals by just two points for the first wildcard spot.
