It's a good time for ladies in alternative music. If you're a fan of Lorde, you might be into Broods. In fact, they are also from New Zealand. Billboard calls their music "gorgeous pop music." We've been spinning their song "Bridges" for a few months now here on CYY. They've been selling out venues here in the states this spring and now it's time to bring them to Portland. They will play a low dough show at Empire Dine and Dance on 7/7. Tickets are only $9.43. Click here to get 'em!

Broods are a sibling duo consisting of vocalist Georgia Nott and older brother and multi-instrumentalist Caleb Nott on backing vocals. The band signed to Capitol Records and will release their debut album this summer. It's being produced by Grammy Award winning producer Joel Little, who also produced Lorde's latest album "Pure Heroine".
Check out the video for “Bridges”. It was shot around Castaic Lake in the Sierra Pelona Mountains of California.

Here's another song called "Never Gonna Change"
