Red Sox center fielder Mookie Betts joined the Portland Sea Dogs on the road in Akron to begin his rehab start and came up with a couple hits including a homerun.Portland lost the game 10-3 to the Akron Rubber Ducks but all eyes were on Betts who suffered a concussion earlier this month when he fell over the wall at Fenway Park trying to make a catch.

Betts got his first hit in the top of the 6th inning when he hit a single to left field. He would add a home run in the ninth as he led off the inning and launched a shot over the left field wall for the Dogs second run of the game.

The Boston Red Sox have Monday off before beginning a two game series in Miami Tuesday, Betts is expected to rejoin the team for that game.
