Being from Maine is amazing. We have the tallest Paul Bunyan statue this side of the Mississippi. We have the biggest lobster trap tree. We have the biggest globe in the world.

And now, we have a new Guinness World Record.

Our pal Bill Green over at NewsCenterMaine just tweeted that more than 1,000 Mainers set a new world record last year (1054 to be exact) and it's officially official.

That's right, we're the moose-calling champions of the world!

How loud are 1,054 moose calls? What do they all sound like at once?

Here's the video of the event from the Skowhegan Moose Festival last year:

Damn! I bet the scared the hell outta all the moose for miles!
