New Daily Show Host Already Under Fire For Old Tweets

Well that didn't take long. Bloggers have dug through Trevor Noah's twitter and what they found is stirring up some outrage.

Took less than a full day for new named Daily Show host Trevor Noah to be blasted around the internet for tweets that date back to 2012. These old tweets have been called "anti-Semitic" as well as sexist by other celebrities, including Disturbed frontman David Draiman. Check out the tweets and some of the backlash in this Time article.

HOT TAKE: We just want to build-up someone and then immediately tear them down. There's no way to defend Trevor Noah's tweets in that Time magazine blog, other than the fact that Noah is a comedian. He uses twitter almost exclusively to promote his career as a comedian and most of these outrageous tweets are clearly attempting some level of humor. I'm positive Mr. Noah never saw himself becoming the next host of the Daily Show back in 2012 and if he did, he probably would have been more careful with what material he was tossing out on Twitter.
