Snow may be on the ground, but the first day of spring is less than two weeks away. Forget spotting the first robin. A sure sign of spring is when Norway/Paris Soft Serve announces they are opening for the season.

One of the most popular ice cream spots in the Oxford Hills, Norway/Paris Soft Serve the old South Paris Grand Trunk Railroad station, will open for the season on Friday, March 16.

In case you don't know why the sign says "Norway Soft Serve" when they are located in South Paris, they originally opened in the 1990s as Norway Soft Serve at 29 Main Street in Norway, the current home of Arsenault's Satellite TV. Later they moved across town to the former railroad station across from Ripley & Fletcher Ford. The name has stuck ever since.

Get ready to grab your first cone of the season on March 16!
