Now They’re Re-Making Point Break? Ugh. See Trailer [VIDEO]

Yup, they're really trying to re-do this one. I know.. I know. See for yourself first. 

They say imitation is the ultimate form of flattery...

In some ways, I suppose.

In Hollywood? Nope... it's all business.

I'm not anti remakes or anti cover versions of songs. I just always felt it was weird to go, Oh this persons music, or movie, their art... I'm gonna take it, do it over and make it mine. Kinda sucks when you think of it that way right? 

Burns even worse when it's something you love or are a fan of. My favorite song of all time is, "Baker Street" by Gerry Rafferty. Hands down favorite song. Foo Fighters, who I love, did a remake a few years back. I can barely listen to it. Weird right? Even a band you're fond of trying their take on a song you love and you're not into it. Hey, a lot of times you just can't be the original!

So what about this movie so many people know and love. Need a reminder? Here...

So, in 2015 we are now handed an updated version. Sure it looks pretty sick. Nasty stunts and lots of "oh wow" moments, but they won't capture the magic the original had. The acceptable 80's cheese that back then was silve screen fantastic. Gary Busey pretty funny and cool before he.. went out to lunch. Keanu when he was full boat "whoooa dude". Swayze is always cool, but he was ultimate cool in this one. How about Anthony Keedis from the Chilli Peppers as a surfer thug?

Cheesy lines like "he'll take it to the edge" and "if you want the ultimate, you have to pay the ultimate price" and of course Busey wanting TWO meatball subs, "Utah, get me two!" Nah, this one won't have that golden stuff... but it might be a great way to waste some time while eating some popcorn and milk duds. You can still sign me up. Just know that it comes in 2nd place already!
