One Direction vs….Def Leppard? FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT

Have you heard the new One Direction song yet? Well if you've heard Def Leppard's Pour Some Sugar On Me, than yes you have. There have been some close calls of plagiarism over the years. Some have settled out of court, some haven't been so simple. Here is a clear case of plagiarism. I'm kind of blown away that some musicians and their management teams still think in 2013 that this is ok, and they're not going to get the s*** sued out of them. Compare the two by clicking here.

A similiar, but yet quite different case of plagiarism is currently going on between The Beastie Boys and toy engineering company Goldiblox on the use of the Beasties song "Girls." Another situation where the songwriter's are in the right. Bottom line is simple: if you didn't create it, you can't use it to make money. Read more on that story.
