David Ortiz got another start at first base, but it was his bat that made the difference Wednesday night.

Big Papi doubled, homered, and drove in a pair as the Sox beat the Marlins, 6-3, to complete a two-game sweep.

Boston captured their fourth straight win for the first time in 2015 behind a much improved performance from Rick Porcello.

Porcello earned the win to snap an eight game winless streak, throwing six innings. The 26-year-old allowed eight hits --all singles-- two runs and struck out four.

The Sox managed only five hits off Marlins' pitching but capitalized on three Miami errors to score five unearned runs.

Boston will look to narrow the gap in the AL East as the Yankees come to town for the final series before the All Star break. First pitch is Friday at 7:10 p.m. with Clay Buchholz (7-6) taking on Michael Pineda (8-5).
