Portland’s First Friday Art Walk Celebrates 14 Years [VIDEO]

It's a celebration of all the creative minds this city and Maine have to offer. What started out as a few art shops and galleries getting together and staying open a little later than normal on a particular Friday, has grown into one of the city's must attend events. Hats off to the fine folks at Creative Portland for really embracing Portland's Downtown Arts District and taking the scene to a new level. During any given first Friday of the month, Congress Street comes alive with thousands of folks catching live performances, visiting the museums and galleries, purchasing work from local street artists and making new friends and even business connections along the way.

WCYY is proud to be a part of the First Friday Art Walk as it celebrates its 14th year on Friday, Oct. 3. Local is where it's at and we hope to see you out there.
