Eduardo Rodriguez had another solid pitching performance for the Red Sox but at the end of the night had nothing to show for it as Baltimore beat Boston 1-0.The only run of the game crossed the plate in the 7th inning when Matt Barnes entered the game and gave up a couple hits to put runners at the corners. With Maine's Ryan Flaherty at the plate, Barnes threw a wild pitch allowing Steve Pearce to score.

Rodriguez would get the no decision after pitching 3-hit ball over the first 6 innings and striking out 7.

The Boston offense once again could not come up with the big hit going 0-8 with runners in scoring position and leaving 9 men on base. Hanley Ramirez had to leave the game after fouling a pitch off his knee. The team says x-rays are negative and Ramirez said he will be ready to play tonight.

The loss snaps the Red Sox 3-game win streak as Rick Porcello takes the mound in game two of the series.
