Hey CYY Freaks! It's finally time for the weekend again, and I'm desperately in need this week - I've been running on fumes. Nothing recharges like live music, though! So let's get go it:

FRIDAY 6/15

Oshima Brothers
Bangor Arts Exchange Ballroom (Bangor)
7:30pm Doors / 8:00pm Show
$10 Advance / $13 Day of Show
All Ages
- This local folk duo has been making waves since the 2016 release of their self-titled debut album, and with good reason - smart vocal harmonies and hooky melodies are all over their songs. Highly recommended!

Five of the Eyes w/ Mirth, KGFREEZE, Added Color
Portland House of Music (Portland)
8:00pm Doors / 9:00pm Show
$8 Advance / $10 Day of Show
21+
- Nothing is better than a local rock show, especially when you have a lineup like this. Five of the Eyes' masterful blend of technical riffing with frenetic energy makes for one hell of a show. KGFREEZE, Mirth and Added Color are no slouches, either.

SATURDAY 6/16

Fitz & the Tantrums & X Ambassadors
Thompson’s Point (Portland)
6:00pm Doors / 7:00pm Show
$38.50 Advance / $42 Day of Show
All Ages
- The Thompson's Point season continues with two huge alternative bands sharing one stage. With as nice as it's supposed to be this weekend, the outdoor setting seems all the more appealing. Should be a blast!

Melissa Etheridge
Savage Oakes Winery (Union)
5:00pm Doors / 7:30pm Show
$75 Tickets
All Ages
- Melissa Etheridge continues to be one of the torch-bearers for women in rock, and with a career as expansive as hers, there are bound to be tunes pulled from every era for a great crowd-pleasing setlist. Plus, it's outside, and the weather's supposed to be nice!

Quiet Riot Act, Memphis Lightning
Old Orchard Community Friendly Connection (Old Orchard Beach)
11am Start
Free
All Ages
Rock on the beach on Saturday? I'm with it. This community event is open to all ages, but that hasn't stopped them from bringing some good music to the table - with Quiet Riot act and Memphis Lightning both on the bill, it becomes something of a rock show as well.

Well, there's my list of picks for this week! As always, feel free to drop a link for something cool I may have missed in the comments!
