The Hooters-inspired restaurant chain Tilted Kilt will open it's first location in Maine this fall.

According to Eater Maine, there will soon be girls donning mini-kilts and plaid bras at the very first Tilted Kilt location in South Portland. Mini-kilts and plaid bras are the dress code for the servers at all Tilted Kilt restaurants, a chain that is looking to make its mark here in the Northeast. Check out Eater Maine's take right here.

Tilted Kilt will be taking over the location vacated by Newick's Lobster House at 200 Gorham Rd. in South Portland. Tilted Kilt sells itself as a premier sports bar featuring a pub inspired menu and chances to compete for prizes on in-house competitions.

But the real selling point nationwide for Tilted Kilt has been their "kilt girls". The franchise has done well selling calendars featuring the girls and was even featured on an episode of ABC's reality show "Undercover Boss" detailing life as a "kilt girl". Currently the South Portland location has been using Craigslist looking for cooks, managers and of course, kilt girls.

There is no firm date for the official opening of the South Portland Tilted Kilt location, but something tells me you'll hear plenty about it on social networks when it does.
