Reward Offered For Information About Illegally Killed Moose

Maine's Operation Game Thief is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and/or prosecution of those involved in illegally killing a moose. The cow moose was found covered up by tree boughs.

Corporal John McDonald of the Maine Warden Service said in a press release today that the animal was found on the edge of the 12 Mile Bog Road (ATV trail) in Rockwood Strip T2R1 NBKP during this year's moose hunt in October. However, zone 8 didn't have any cow permits issued this year, and so the animal was illegally killed.
