Rob Surprises Shim From Sick Puppies in Austin – NSFW [VIDEO]

The trip was booked about a month ago. I've heard amazing things about Austin and had to check it out (and escape a bit of the never ending winter.) It wasn't until about two weeks ago that I started sifting through the live shows that were happening while I was down there for South By Southwest, also known as SXSW or simply South By if you're an Austinite.

I saw that Sick Puppies had a show scheduled at The Dirty Dog on 6th street, or "The Dirty Six" as the locals call it. Pretty clear it got that name for not being the classiest of bars and restaurants. If you want to go out in your shorts and flip-flops and just party while drinking a Lone Star and not having to worry about pretentious people staring you down, you'll have a blast on 6th Street for sure.

I got in touch with Mark, the Pups drummer, prior to my visit to discuss some interesting ways of surprising my buddy Shim. We were back and forth on a few ideas until Emma nailed it. Watch the video below to see what happened.

Here's a pic of Shim and myself with "Shitty", the owner of The Dirty Dog. Yes, that what he goes by. It was hilarious hearing his employees throughout the night yelling out "Hey Shitty" to get his attention. What a good dude, he was persistent on getting Shim and I drunk after the show.
