Rob Visits the Cathedral of Junk in Austin [VIDEO]

A ginormous pile of junk is a tourist attraction in Austin? Very much so. In fact Vince, the mastermind, has been doing it full time for years and survives just on the donations of visitors.  The Cathedral of Junk is located in a suburban neighborhood in the south side of Austin. It was listed as one of the 35 things you need to do while visiting Austin on Buzzfeed. This two story heap of trash was not what I expected, especially with the location of a typical suburban neighborhood. I actually drove past it by accident the first time as it's slightly tucked away behind Vince's home.

I walked up to the gate where I was greeted by a dog. The first thing I think of is....dog and junkyard. Yup, the scene is Stand By Me where the dog is trained to "sick balls." After a brief moment of panic, a man came out to greet me. Vince, who's been at work on the project since 1989, said despite the fact that it's appointment only, for me to come on in.
