Mike Conicelli, a longtime security guard at One City Center was shot at repeatedly by a man outside One City Center Friday morning after a brief discussion. Security Guard Conicelli asked the man to stop loitering around the building as employees from various businesses and patrons of the Bay Club began arriving for their daily routines.

After the discussion began to grow confrontational, the yet-to-be-identified man drew a gun and shot at Conicelli several times. Thankfully, Conicelli was not hit or hurt in the incident. Conicelli told us here at WCYY that he thought the gun was fake and then stormed at the individual. Conicelli then chased the suspect down the street, landing a punch to the suspects face. The Portland Police Department was on the scene quickly and apprehended the suspect.

Portland Police are saying the suspect is a transient and that the gun used in the incident was a high powered pellet gun.

Conicelli has been a security guard at One City Center for more than 14 years. He told the CYY Morning Show, "When I returned to the building after chasing the individual and saw the bullet holes, I sat down and realized that I could have been killed".

This story will be updated throughout the day as more information becomes available.

Check out a couple photos from the damage.
