After coming out as transgender in 2012, Against Me! leader Laura Jane Grace’s transition to a woman will be documented in an AOL reality series called ‘So Much More With Laura Jane Grace.’ The series will follow Grace and her bandmates on their tour in support of their most recent and sixth album, ‘Transgender Dysphoria Blues,’ which landed at the beginning of the year.

After five Against Me! albums in the span of eight years, Grace, then 31, came out as trans  in an interview with ‘Rolling Stone. Grace told the magazine that she had been dealing with gender dysphoria privately for years, but was now sharing her transition with the public, announcing that she would begin taking hormones and undergo electrolysis.

The series will also capture Grace’s encounters with other gender-variant people — a connection she deems invaluable to her journey. “Hearing their stories, and then being able to relate myself to it, is what I need right now,” the punk-rock singer says in the series’ brand-new trailer.

Though Grace’s story is an important one for other gender-variant people, in the trailer, she acknowledges it's universal to all. “Life’s a transition, everyone’s in transition," she says. "I’m not who I was yesterday and I’m not the person I’m going to be tomorrow. I’m just figuring it out as I go along, just as everyone else is doing.”
