Thanksgiving dinner is typically a time for friends and family to gather together and share a delicious meal. If you're hosting that gathering, food costs can climb rather quickly, so it's never a surprise when someone is looking to save a few bucks here or there when putting together the meal. However, this probably would have been bad idea right from the beginning.

The Falmouth Police Department took to their Facebook page to outline a bizarre situation that could leave people in some serious health danger over the Thanksgiving holiday. It's hard to believe that anyone would steal turkeys from the dumpster of a grocery store, but strange things do happen here in Maine.

As the Falmouth PD outline, if you happen to acquire a turkey under less-than-normal circumstances, discard it immediately. There's no amount of spices or stuffing that is going to make that bird good for you.
