Telltale Games, the studio behind interactive adventure games based on The Walking Dead, Batman and others, is developing a title based on Netflix's hit supernatural series, Stranger Things.

The Stranger Things title will be released for both consoles and PC at a later date and is part of a new deal between Telltale and Netflix that will also see Minecraft: Story Mode headed over to the streaming service this fall.

Minecraft: Story Mode, a Telltale series based on hit video game Minecraft, will be turned into an interactive narrative series on Netflix where viewers will decide how the story plays out by using the directional buttons on a television remote control.

Netflix has experimented with the new format in the past with the release of Stretch Armstrong: The Breakout, Puss in Book: Trapped in an Epic Tale and Buddy Thunderstruck: The Maybe Pile.

Telltale, which has also developed video games based on Game of Thrones, and comic book series Fables, is known for releasing titles that ask players to make tough choices that affect the story in multiple ways.

The third season of Stranger Things is currently in production.
