Hey CYY peeps! I'm back with part 2 of my travel log from this past weekend in Yarmouth, NS! Once again, thanks to the kind folks at Bay Ferries and Yarmouth and Acadian Shores for showing me around, and having to much cool stuff planned!

Right after my fellow DJs and I got through customs, we took a little time to explore downtown Yarmouth. We checked out the harbor, where we heard a couple of great ghost stories from Candice, our guide. Apparently a ship called the Yarmouth haunted the port for over 60 years! Freaky stuff.

After that came a portion of the trip I was very much looking forward to - visits to a couple of local craft breweries! As a self-proclaimed Portland Beer Snob, I'm delighted to say the beer I had from both Rudders and Heritage Brewing more than held their own against our local beer titans.

After a night in the Rodd Grand hotel in downtown Yarmouth, we made our way down to a local radio station, and made something of a temporary takeover! Local DJ Wade Cleveland made us feel right at home, and was very kind to put up with our stereotypical American shenanigans.

After than, we shuffled down the street to the Shanty Cafe, a popular restaurant that specializes in helping people dealing with certain barriers (age, language, etc) get jobs. Good food, and a good cause! There's also a shop next door that's owned by the same company, aptly called "The Store Next Door." They make all kinds of good made from perhaps the most Canadian thing ever - hockey sticks!
